Cuban Salsa Prague
Welcome to our Salsa dancing classes in Prague! Cuban salsa, also known as Casino, is a lively and energetic dance that originates from… well, from Cuba. It’s full of dynamics, playfulness, and fun, which is why people all over the world have fallen in love with it. Partners move around each other in a circle, switching figures, giving the dance a spontaneous and exciting feel. This “circular motion” is also what makes it different from its “younger sister,” L.A. Salsa (also called Los Angeles or Salsa linea), where couples dance in a straight line.
Cuban salsa is also the origin of Rueda de Casino (also known simply as Rueda) – a group dance where several couples dance the same figures in a circle, led by one Cantante (caller/leader of the Rueda).
At DanceDifferent, we’ll teach you Cuban salsa from scratch – starting with the Level 0 Introduction Class, where you’ll learn the basic step Guapea, and the Dile Que No – a key element of Cuban salsa that all figures finish on. In addition, we’ll show you how Rueda works, so you can join this dynamic group dance which we use to practice figures in our classes.
With these basics, you can then join Salsa 1 and beyond, where you’ll gradually advance to more complex figures, leading and following techniques, and even musicality, proper body movement, and styling for the ladies. Everything that will help you fully enjoy the magic of this dance.

Absolute beginners
Beginners should start with 1 Introduction class where you will learn Salsa dancing basics (Guapea, Dile que no & Rueda).
Salsa 1
Beginners
Salsa 1 will teach you beginners figures (enchufala, dedo, sombrero, etc) and most importantly the correct basic leading/following techniques.
Salsa 2
Intermediate
You will learn more complex techniques & skills, many more complex figures as well as some basic body movement & musicality.
Salsa 3
Advanced
Salsa 3 takes technique, skills, and figures to the next level. More time is spent on body movement, and we also introduce Afro-Cuban roots like Son and Rumba.
Salsa 4
Advanced Plus
For the top Salsa Prague dancers who are fast learners & want advanced partner-work, musicality & a ton of advanced body movement.
