How to join our dance classes?
How you join our dance classes depends on whether you are an absolute beginner or if you already have previous experience attending classes of Cuban Salsa or Bachata.

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER
Level 0
Introduction Class
To join our dance classes as a complete beginner, you must go through one Level 0 Introduction Class for absolute beginners where we teach you the basics required to join our regular Level 1 dance classes in DanceDifferent.
There are 3 ways you can complete the introduction class:
1. Group Introduction Class
Next introduction class: Every thursday
- 19:00 - 20:00 | Cuban Salsa
- 20:00 - 21:00 | Bachata
Next introduction class: Check back soon
Level 0 group Introduction Classes are held irregularly based on our dance classes capacity to accept new students.

2. Private Introduction Class
If you are simply too excited and can’t wait to join, you can learn the introduction class content in a private class.
You will find the prices here. The number of people that can join a private class is unlimited.
3. Online Introduction Class
You can also learn the basics required to join our Level 1 classes from the comfort of your home.
- Although we are dancing in a couple in these online lessons, you can complete these lessons and learn all the steps at home without a partner.
- Once you complete the online introduction class, email or call and we will arrange for you to arrive 20 minutes before your first Level 1 class, and our teacher will quickly go over hte content with you for free. Then you can jump straight into the Level 1 dance classes.
- Online lessons are in English.

If you have previous experience with our dance styles and have already attended classes in other dance schools, we will be happy to arrange a free 15min consultation for you. Our teacher will dance with you, answer any questions and advise you on which level of our classes will fit you best.
Before requesting a consultation, please make sure that you at least know the following…
Cuban salsa
To skip the level 0 introduction dance class and join our Salsa classes right away, you should be comfortable with at the very least:
- One open hold basic step such as Guapeya or Casino.
- The Dile que no.
- How to change partners in Rueda.
Bachata dance classes
To skip the level 0 introduction dance class and join our Bachata classes right away, you should be comfortable with at the very least:
- Bachata Basic step (0.00 – 0.07)
- Inside turns (0.07-0.10 & 0.27-0.30)
