Bachata Dance

The Bachata dance originates from the Dominican Republic. It is a partner dance that when compared to Salsa is often referred to as being more romantic and close than salsa.

The Bachata steps are easily recognised by the “taps” and the hip “pops” when changing directions.

Cuban Salsa classes are fantastic to learn the right steps and figures, leading & following as well as musicality and listening to afro-cuban instruments. However, if you want to move further than “knowing the steps” into the “oh! they look great” category, then we highly recommend finding some styling, rumba or afro classes. It will help you look good and feel confident while dancing.
